Candidates are required to apply online and fill the application form in for the corresponding vacancy (ies) / Programme(s). Once their application has been submitted, they will receive an acknowledgement of receipt e-mail. Candidates must also upload their CV and Diplomas in order for their application to be considered.

Programme specific application process

Administrative Student Programme
Once your application form has been submitted, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail which contains a link to the CERN "Report on candidate" form. You must forward this link to at least one referee (Professor or supervisor from a previous internship). Reports from last committee will not be accepted. Students must also upload their most recent academic transcript giving an overview of their marks (if you download it from your university portal please make sure there is no protection so that we can open it), as well as a CV (in English or French) in order to complete the application. Please only upload the required documents for this position and ensure good/readable quality of those. Please also ensure correct labelling of your documents when uploading them. Candidates are required to apply online before 12.04.2017 (23:59 CET) and submit the required documents before 18.04.2017 (23:59 CET)- If any document is missing, the application will not be considered during the selection process. Austrian Doctoral Student Programme
Interessenten bewerben sich direkt am CERN für das allgemeine "CERN Doctoral Student Programme". Eine gesonderte Bewerbung auf das Österreichische Doktorandenprogramm ist nicht erforderlich. Nach Bewerbungsschluss werden in einer Vorauswahl alle Bewerber mit EU-Staatsangehörigkeit berücksichtigt, die an einer österrreichischen Hochschule studieren oder beabsichtigen, dort zu studieren.
CERN openlab Summer Student Programme
Please apply online before the February deadline. Once your application has been submitted you will receive a confirmation e-mail. The following documents MUST reach us before the deadline in order for your application to be considered. Required Documents CV A motivation letter with an indication of the preferred area of work in the field of computing, Proof of enrolment at a university for the current year Report on Candidate: Once your application has been submitted you will receive a confirmation e-mail which contains a link to this report which has to be forwarded to at least one referee (preferably a professor). In order to be considered, at least one new report must reach us before the deadline.The report on candidate needs to be less than 6 months old at the deadline. Corresponding Associateships
Applications are submitted online. The following documents are required: a completed electronic application form a Curriculum Vitae a list of publications  three letters of recommendation The application and ALL supporting documents should reach CERN via the e-recruitment system by the closing date. Please note: In the "Specific Information" of the application form a link to forward to your THREE referees will be available (as well as in the email of acknowledgment receipt). This link will allow them to submit their letter of recommendation in support of your application. Letters should be in English or French and submitted by the deadline indicated.
Doctoral Student Programme

Experienced Professionals

Fellowship Programme
The following documents are required together with the completed electronic application form: a Curriculum Vitae; a list of publications if relevant (for collaborations, please indicate simply the number of publications and only provide details of the most important ones); a photocopy of the most recent (highest) qualification; three recent letters of recommendation (not older than a year at the time of the deadline for applications) to give as broad as possible overview of your academic and/or professional achievements. When you click on "Apply" above you will see a link to forward to your referees so that they can submit their letters. You can forward them the link at any time (even if you have not submitted your application. If you have reference letters in your possession, do not use the link. You should upload them via "My documents". Candidates for research fellowships (Theoretical and Experimental Physics) should also include a CV containing: A list of publications to which you have made a significant contribution; Conferences at which you have given presentations; Statement of research interests. Applications are considered by the Associates and Fellows Committee (AFC) which takes place twice a year, usually in May and November. Apply on-line by the relevant deadline. Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
Your application should include: a completed electronic application form; your Curriculum Vitae; a list of publications if relevant (for collaborations, please indicate simply the number of publications and only provide details of the most important ones); a copy of your last (highest) qualification; a short cover letter to explain why you would like to be a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow; two letters of recommendation to give as broad as possible an overview of your academic and/or professional achievements. You should submit the application and ALL supporting documents using the e-recruitment system by the relevant deadline (CET time). Any supporting documents which are on paper, particularly reference letters, may be submitted in paper form. They will be attached by us to your electronic application. Please be aware of deadlines and prepare necessary documents before applying!
Scientific Associateships
Applications are submitted online. Short-Term Internship Programme
Candidates are required to apply online. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. You will be asked to upload a CV, a proof of enrollment in your school / university and a copy of you ID/passport. In case your University needs a traineeship agreement signed, please make sure they will agree to sign only ours.  
Spanish Trainee Program (FTEC)
The following documents are required: a completed and submitted electronic application form a CV an academic transcript of your highest qualification giving an overview of your grades and studied modules a copy of your most recent (highest) qualification/diploma (if not yet obtained, latest version of your academic transcript and certificate of expected graduation date) optionally: a reference letter (please note that the reference letter is recommended but optional) The application form and supporting documents should be submitted on your candidate profile using this e-recruitment system before the deadline (12th February 2017 23:59 CET). Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
Studentships in Summer (Non Member State Nationals)
Please APPLY ONLINE before 27th January 2017 (23:59 CET) and make sure the documents below are uploaded to your profile (with the correct document type) before 30th January 2017: RECENT REFERENCE LETTERS – Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an acknowledgment of receipt which contains a link. You must forward this link to your two referees so that they can upload their recommendation letter. In order to be considered for the programme we need to receive TWO RECENT REFERENCE LETTERS. MOST RECENT ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT (official document giving an overview of your marks; either issued from your university or copy of the transcript from your university portal) - If the academic transcript is not written in latin characters please upload also a translation (English or French) (can be made by you). CV (English or French) Please make sure your application and your CV are as detailed as possible. This will facilitate the projects assignment at later stage. Please only upload the required documents for this position and ensure a good/readable quality of those. Moreover, it is very important that you always choose the correct document type. Summer Student Programme - Member States

Technician Training Experience (TTE)
How to apply? The following documents are required together with the completed electronic application form; A CV written in English or French A scanned copy of the last (highest) qualification Two reports on candidates to be completed by two referees (a professor or a previous employee) to give as broad as possible overview of your academic and/or professional achievements. This report is a predefined form that your referee will be guided through in order to complete. Overview of closing dates are available here. Please note: In the email of acknowledgment receipt you will receive a link to forward to your referees. This link will allow them to submit their reports in support of your application. Reports should be in English or French and submitted by the deadline indicated. Applications which are incomplete (e.g. missing reports on candidates) as of the closing date will not be considered.
